Balearic Icons

"I could not live in a country from which the sea was not seen.
I mean the Mediterranean Sea."
Joan Miró, who left Paris for Mallorca and never looked back.

Find your inner peace on Wally Vantanera

Your cruise, your pace.

The Balearics aboard Wally Vantanera. A slow, unhurried arc from Mallorca's dramatic west coast through Ibiza's golden energy to the crystalline stillness of Formentera — and back again through the protected waters of Cabrera. Six days, exceptional anchorages, long lunches on board, and the kind of light that painters moved here for. This isn't a route. It's a week shaped entirely around you.

Palma → Port Andratx

Day 01

Embarkation in Palma. The cathedral behind you, the bay opening ahead. A short afternoon sail along the coast to Port Andratx — just long enough to feel Vantanera move beneath you and let the city dissolve. Dinner ashore in the harbour or on board, your call. The week has begun and already there's nowhere else you'd rather be.

West Coast Mallorca

Day 02

The west coast of Mallorca is one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean — sheer cliffs, pine forests running down to the water, bays that appear only from the sea. Vantanera moves through it slowly, unhurried, the kind of day where the helm feels optional and the coastline does the work. Sunset dinner at Sa Foradada, the table carved into the rock, the light turning everything gold.

Crossing to Ibiza

Day 03

A relaxed morning crossing to Ibiza. The sea opens, the Mallorcan mountains fade, and then Ibiza's silhouette begins to sharpen on the horizon. Anchor near Cala Comte — white sand, turquoise shallows, and a sunset view over Es Vedrà that explains why people have been coming to this island for centuries. The evening is yours. Stay on board, stay in the moment.

A drink in Ibiza

Day 04

A day with no agenda. Swim off the boat. Take the tender ashore. Explore a beach club for lunch or eat on board in the cockpit. Ibiza has a particular energy — vibrant without being loud, beautiful without trying. In the evening, go ashore for dinner at one of the island's finest restaurants or stay on deck and let the harbour lights be the entertainment. Both are the right answer.

Formentera as your backdrop

Day 05

The shortest crossing, the biggest shift. Formentera is where everything slows to a different tempo — water so clear it barely seems real, beaches that empty by mid-afternoon, a quietness that settles over everything. Vantanera anchors in the shallows. Swim. Read. Lunch at Juan y Andrea on the beach or fresh on board. This is the day people remember when they've forgotten everything else. Do nothing, beautifully.

Cabrera & Return to Palma

Day 06

South to Cabrera — a national park, a protected island, an anchorage that feels like the Mediterranean before anyone else found it. Crystal water, absolute silence, the kind of place that exists outside of time. A final swim, a final lunch on board, then a gentle sail back to Palma in the late afternoon light. Disembarkation in the evening. The week is over. The feeling isn't.
